If you're wondering why our application is hosted on the Rampton Constitutional Foundation site, it is because we wanted to make it available as soon as possible, and the kind folks over at RCF were darling enough to host it temporarily until our full-on Girls Rock Vegas website is finished and ready.

Who May Apply
Any girl who is between the ages of 9 and 17 at the time of camp may apply. No experience is necessary, but experienced campers are welcome.

Tuition: $ 3 2 5
Girls Rock Vegas is a non-profit organization with a pending 501(c)3 status. We have very limited resources, and we rely solely on donations and support from community partners to have a successful camp. The actual cost of the camp is nearly $1,000 per camper, so all tuition is already greatly subsidized.

Lunch
Girls Rock Vegas can not provide lunch for campers. Each camper needs to bring their own lunch and a snack. However, if you are eligible for free lunch at your school, please check the box on your application and we will do our best to make arrangements.

Instrument Instruction
You may choose guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals. Please indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice on the application. We will do our best to accommodate. Because we will do our best to provide instruments, you may not change your choice after your application has been submitted, or once camp has started.

If you would like to play a different instrument, such as violins or horns, please indicate that on the application. We will do our best to accommodate.

Musical Instruments
We highly encourage you to bring your own instrument to camp. We will do our best to provide loaner instruments to use during the camp day. Please note that Girls Rock Vegas does not provide liability for personal instruments.

Girls Rock Vegas Day Camp does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national/ethnic origin, marital status, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability in the administration of its educational programs, admissions policies, financial aid, and other camp-related policies and programs, as well as volunteer and employment-related policies and activities.

Tuition Refund Calendar
We understand that a family’s summer plans may change. However, we work hard to provide correct instrumentation and enough instructors to accommodate all campers. If you are unable to attend Girls Rock Vegas after you have applied and paid tuition, you can still obtain a partial or even complete refund of the tuition you paid based on the following calendar:
Date you notify us that you won’t be coming and the Refund Available:
6+ Weeks Before Camp (April 28, 2009) : 100% refund
5 Weeks Before Camp (May 5, 2009) : 75% refund
4 Weeks Before Camp (May 12, 2009) : 50% refund
3 Weeks Before Camp (May 19, 2009) : 25% refund
2 Weeks of Camp or Less (May 26, 2009) : 0% refund

The 2009 Girls Rock Vegas Summer Camp will be from June 9-13th at Rose Warren Elementary School. The address is 6451 Brandywine Way, Las Vegas, NV 89107 (on the corner of Torrey Pines and Charleston).

Your child will be instructed by licensed teachers, as well as professional musicians and guest artists. Your child will be part of a real rock band! Each band will write and perform an original song at a concert on Saturday, June 13th.

8:30-9:00 Morning Meeting

9:00-11:00 Small Group Lessons (guitar, bass, percussion, vocals, keyboard, etc...)

11:00-11:50 Workshop Rotation #1 (songwriting, quiet band practice, amplified band practice)

12:00-12:30 LUNCH

12:40-1:20 Workshop Rotation #2 (songwriting, quiet band practice, amplified band practice)
